Intro to EDCs

Hello! We are glad you decided to learn more about Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). Before we dive into the biology and societal factors that contribute to the negative effects of EDCs, we first have to understand EDCs. EDCs are chemicals that negatively impact the hormones in our bodies and thus prevent them from carrying out their duties (1). Some of the most common chemicals that share similarities to EDCs include phthalates, toluene, and formaldehyde (2).
