One of the best things you can do to prevent a lot of forms of exposure is ventilating your work area (with fans for example) and wearing proper PPE (usually gloves and face masks). These two forms are super helpful for you because the most common ways you will be exposed to EDC’s is by breathing in the fumes or by absorbing the chemicals through your skin. In the case of a spill, it is always a good idea to make sure no one is in the are to make sure as much control is exhibited over the spill. You should usually never handle a spill with cleaning products as there could be a reaction of some kind with the chemicals and you do not want to reuse those products that have been exposed to EDC’s to clean up a different area.
